Washing your face can be a boring chore and sometimes a pain in the ass when it’s not convenient. In highschool I used to wear makeup to bed because I didn’t think it was THAT bad for your skin, but I was fortunate that I didn’t have any abnormal breakouts as a result. It was actually only until 6 years ago that no matter how tired or lazy I was, I WILL wash my face every.single.night. Even after a long night out partying (which is not often anymore), I’m fortunate to have Mark remove my make-up for me as I sit on the lid of the toilet while swaying to the imaginary music playing.
Ah, marriage.
I was gifted a Clarisonic from my mother (that’s probably why I started to commit to cleansing) but she also has beautifully plump, youthful skin so why wouldn’t I take her advice and product suggestions?
Over time I began to develop sensitivity and dry patches due to how powerful (perhaps too aggressive) the machine was (and I definitely didn’t use it too often), so I needed to take a break and allow my skin to calm down. Fortunately a few years ago, she gifted me a Foreo LUNA mini (and the LUNA play plus for travelling – SO cute!) and I fell in love.
This ergonomically comfortable device gives you the deep clean you need, with a super gentle sonic force. With my model (there is now a LUNA mini 2 & 3), I have 2 intensities that are 60 second cycles (as this is the length of time for a true, efficient wash). There are 2 lengths of silicone (super hygienic) touchpoints on either side of the device so I have the option for a deeper clean for blackhead prone areas like the nose.
The Foreo LUNA mini is 100% waterproof, so I just use it in the shower while my conditioner works it’s magic AND it’s rechargeable. Would you believe me that I’ve only charged it a handful of times?
Really.
This device is truly a must-have staple in your toiletry bag. I love it so much that I picked one up for Mark (LUNA mini 2), and a couple of their ISSA play toothbrushes for Christmas. I’m somebody that sticks with a brand that has earned my trust, and if I love their products, why would I go elsewhere?
Foreo’s devices are an investment, but keep in mind that you don’t have any brush heads to replace every 3 months at a cost of $35 per head (and almost double that if you’re not the only user).
Easy on the face AND wallet? I’m down.
